The Bolognese sewn is a Blake sewn from which the insole is removed. The shoe liner is fully tubular and goes all the way around the foot, so there are no inseams that could get in the way and hinder comfort in the shoe.

Goodyear sewn

The Goodyear sewn or welt sewn is a characteristic assembly of high-end shoes.

A Goodyear-welted shoe is made up of two seams:

- the first seam joins the upper part of the shoe (the upper) to the insole (the first) by the welt seam

- the second seam of "small stitches" joins the welt to the outsole (or outsole).

Norwegian sewn

The Norwegian Seam is a type of assembly derived from the Good Year assembly which reveals the edges of the welt as well as the seams linking the latter to the upper and the sole.

A shoe tree is an instrument in the shape of the foot to stretch the shoe. It is placed inside the shoe to maintain the shape of the foot and erase folds and wrinkles.

Upper

The vamp is the front part of a shoe. On a lace-up dress shoe, for example, the upper is the entire front part from the toe to the laces.

Yoke

A patch is the addition of material to decorate a shoe.

Pumps

Classic and timeless, pumps are closed women's shoes with a heel of at least 4 cm. These shoes are also called décolleter.

Gore-tex® is a patented fabric. This technology has two main properties: being waterproof (hydrophobic) and breathable at the same time, which makes it a comfortable fabric to wear during outdoor sports activities. Gaiter
